      <title>Episode #18 - Freestylin'</title>
<description>&lt;img src=&quot;http://assets.podomatic.net/mymedia/thumb/1411501/600x600_6399660.png&quot; alt=&quot;itunes pic&quot; /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What a crazy ass week it has been.. Cinco De Mayo, 31st Anniversary of the death of Bobby Sands and the passing of MCA from the Beastie Boys. Some ups, some downs and I am sure there are some who gives a shits in there too...

Regardless, it was time to throw out a new Podcast, and being a child of the 80's the Beastie Boys had a huge impact on my musical tastes growing up.

So this episode is dedicated to MCA and all the doors he opened and all the people he has influenced and inspired. Much like his freestylin way of making music, I am freestylin my way through the world Celtic music, anything goes today folks..!

Sit back and enjoy this romp and remember, life it too short to walk through it with blinders on.

Cheers,

During the course of the interview many beers were ingested and the Podcast became a drunken train wreck. What you have here is the vestiges of that great night.

Strap yourselves in and get ready for The Grinning Beggars first Live In-Studio guests. This episode includes an arse load of killer songs and some CD giveaways.

Thanks to Jay for helping out and the Punkabillys for showing up. And as always for listening, feedback can be and should be sent to grinningbeggar@yahoo.com

I will warn you straight away, approach this episode with an open mind!! After months of speculation and listening to people touch on the topic I have grabbed the bull by the horns and done it! Ladies and Gentlemen, I present you with the Grinning Beggar's first (and perhaps last) Celtic/Folk Metal Extravaganza.

What many people do not realize is that Celtic/Folk/Pagan Metal is really getting big in the metal genre, much like folk punk has been given a large shot in the arm in the past few years. This is further proof as to why Celtic music is the best music in whatever form presented. Open your ear holes and your mind and enjoy.
